    The Media’s Role in Perpetuating False Narratives

    Too often, the media misrepresents or completely distorts the truth in officer-involved deaths. These false narratives not only silence the voices of victims and their families but also protect the police from accountability. By erasing the truth, they rewrite history, leaving the victims and their stories unheard.

     

    Most of these cases receive little to no media coverage, leaving families without support, justice, or a platform to share the truth.
